The Challenge
In 2019, the crypto wallet market was highly competitive and rapidly evolving, with many options available but limited user-friendly solutions. The challenge was to create a secure, intuitive, and visually appealing wallet for EOS currency on both iOS and Android platforms. This required designing native UIs for each platform, ensuring that the wallet would be fully optimized and deliver a seamless experience across both ecosystems. Additionally, the app needed to cater to both novice and experienced crypto users, balancing ease of use with robust security features. The design had to integrate multiple cryptocurrencies and provide real-time transaction tracking while ensuring that the user experience was smooth, consistent, and intuitive on both platforms. This posed unique challenges in terms of maintaining platform-specific design conventions and addressing the nuances of each operating system, all while delivering a cohesive experience across devices.
Process
Research:
User Research: Conducted interviews and surveys with potential users (crypto enthusiasts, investors, and traders) to understand their needs, pain points, and expectations from a crypto wallet.
Market Research: Analyzed the competitive landscape and reviewed other crypto wallets to identify gaps in the market and areas for improvement.
Persona Creation: Developed detailed personas representing key user groups to ensure the design would meet a variety of user needs.
Wireframing & Prototyping:
Created low-fidelity wireframes to map out the core functionality of the wallet, ensuring that the flow was intuitive and easy to follow.
Developed interactive prototypes to test core interactions and gather early feedback from users.
UI Design:
Focused on creating a clean, minimalistic UI with a balance of security and ease of use. The design needed to be visually engaging without overwhelming the user with too much information at once.
Emphasized visual hierarchy and used familiar design patterns to ensure accessibility for both novice and experienced users.
Designed for both iOS and Android platforms, adhering to each platform's guidelines and ensuring a consistent experience across devices.
Usability Testing:

I used a full-cycle design process to create a user-friendly crypto wallet for iOS and Android. I developed native UIs tailored to each platform, ensuring ease of use and consistent branding. User-friendly navigation with clear visual cues made the app accessible for all users.
